Why CrossPaths exists

Because moving to a new city shouldn’t mean six months of isolation. And scrolling alone on a Friday night shouldn’t be the default.

It started with a move and a question

Nico moved to South Florida and hit the same wall millions of people hit every year: how do you actually make friends as an adult?

The apps didn’t work. Bumble BFF felt transactional. Meetup groups were either too big to feel personal or too niche to find your people. The “just go to a bar” advice assumed you wanted to shout over music at strangers who were also on their phones.

What actually worked was simple: small groups, shared interests, recurring hangouts. Not a one-off networking event. Not a 200-person mixer where nobody remembers your name. Just 8-12 people who kept showing up.

“The loneliness epidemic isn’t a lack of people. It’s a lack of infrastructure. We have dating apps, professional networks, and social media — but nothing designed for the thing we actually need: friends.”

CrossPaths was born from that gap. Not another app that promises connection through a screen. A real-world social club that creates the conditions for friendships to form naturally: shared experiences, small groups, the right neighborhoods, and someone who actually bothers to organize it all.

Build the social fabric this generation never had

South Florida is full of transplants. People who moved here for the weather, the lifestyle, the opportunity — and then spent months feeling like they didn’t know a soul. CrossPaths changes that.

We start in Fort Lauderdale and grow across every neighborhood. Curated events, small-group Circles, and warm introductions for anyone who’s tired of being “connected” online and lonely in real life.

The vision? A world where CrossPaths is the name people think of when they want to meet real people. Not the algorithm’s version of people. Actual humans, doing actual things, in actual places.

Our values

🌎

Real World First

Technology enables, but the magic happens face-to-face. Every decision we make optimizes for people actually showing up.

🤝

Small Over Big

8 people who know each other beats 200 strangers every time. We optimize for depth, not headcount.

Low Friction

No awkward icebreakers. No forced networking. We design events where conversations start naturally in the first five minutes.

🏠

Neighborhood-First

Your next best friend is probably 10 minutes away. We organize by where you actually live, not by zip code ranges.
